Congratulations to our 2007-2008 Media Fair Winners!
We had great participation in this year's IISD Technology Media Fair. We had over 100 campus entries and NINE district winners.

Our district winners are:
 
   
1st Place!  Rosemarie Klassen created a poster  in the Desktop Publishing-Linear  category. It's called "Put some PUNCH in your lunch!." It's now in the school cafeteria for the kids to use. Its really nice. CLICK HERE to see the image.
   
1st Place!  Sarah Huerta created a creative Desktop Publishing piece she called "The Junior Scribbler." She took the news from our school and class to create a newsletter. This could be printed out just like a newspaper. CLICK HERE to see the poster.
   
1st Place!  Mrs. Detchemendy's Class made an amazing PowerPoint called "ABC Verbs." They did this project to help them learn all about action verbs. CLICK HERE for the powerpoint.

Kiara Thomas, Donavon Ramirez,  & John Lawrence designed a book called "The Dressing Up Group" based on a book they read in class. 
   
2nd Place! 

 

The Broadcast Crew created a video called "Trick or Treating Safety Tips." They wanted to remind students how important it is to be safe when trick or treating. CLICK HERE for the video.
   
   
3rd Place! 

 

Mrs. Morris' Class made their "Patter Book" by taking pictures of patterns around they found around their room and inserting them into a word document.  Can you see the patterns?
 
3rd Place!  Mike Peeravong made a cool Animation called "Cowboy Revenge." He created his animation using a program called Pivot Stick Man. It's fun to watch over and over again! CLICK HERE to see the animation.
 
 
3rd Place!  Mrs. Morris' Class created a Digitized Audio clip called "Color Songs." The class recorded a few of the color songs they sing each morning  on the computer using a program called Audacity. You could save this & have your child practice singing it each day. 3rd Place! 

 

Mrs. Proctor's Class created an elaborate Desktop Publishing piece called "A-Z Countries." Each student researched a different country & they put it all together for a book they'll use on Literacy Day.
